How Do Misting Fans Work?
Misting fans combine airflow with high-pressure mist cooling. Water is pressurised via a pump and passed through specialised misting nozzles, to create an ultra-fine mist, while the fan distributes the mist and encourages natural evaporation.
High-pressure mist + airflow + natural evaporation = effective mist cooling.
Why Airflow Matters
Air movement is an important part of mist cooling. The fan helps distribute the ultra-fine mist, encouraging evaporation.
This can be particularly valuable in hot, humid conditions, where evaporation naturally occurs more slowly.
Misting Fans Require a High-Pressure Pump
The fan is only one part of a complete misting system.
